Social Structure and Educational Model

Currently, the cooperative consists of 952 dedicated members, who are organized into 11 distinct groups. It is important to note that participation is inclusive; in fact, among the members are 391 women and 157 young people. Thanks to an extension model based on Community-Based Trainers (CBT), small farmers receive the necessary training to improve production. As a result, education and innovation become the pillars to ensure the long-term sustainability of the cooperative itself.

Environmental Commitment and Verified Certifications

In addition to economic growth, the organization is strongly committed to “climate-smart” agricultural practices to protect local ecosystems. Therefore, production follows strict organic and Fairtrade standards, ensuring that products meet the highest ethical criteria. Specifically, the cooperative holds Organic Certification (ID CE-202507) and Fairtrade Certification (FLO ID 47670). Additionally, quality is guaranteed by the Q mark issued by the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS).

Vision and Market Objectives

In conclusion, the cooperative’s vision is to empower the livelihoods of producers by adding value to their crops. Therefore, the organization aims to expand its reach in the global market and develop innovative value chains. In this way, both local producers and international consumers can benefit from a fair, transparent, and quality-oriented commercial system for the final product.

By choosing this coffee, you will support an organization that aims to improve the living conditions of small farmers and to develop innovative value chains for the benefit of producers and consumers.
