Brazil Sul De Minas Monte Alegre: the new Closest Connection single origin by Caffè River

Brazil Sul De Minas is the new protagonist of Caffè River’s Closest Connection line: a single-origin coffee that tells a story of direct connection with the land, the people, and the culture of Brazilian coffee.

Produced at the historic Fazenda Monte Alegre, in the South Minas Gerais region, this coffee comes from an estate renowned for innovation, quality, and sustainability. Active since the early 1900s and managed by the Vieira family since 1917, the fazenda is now a benchmark for specialty coffee production in Brazil.

Over the years, Monte Alegre has invested in its own infrastructure for coffee processing, drying, and shipping, adopting state-of-the-art practices to ensure full traceability and strict quality control. The varieties grown, including Bourbon and Peaberry, are processed using different methods — Fully Washed, Semi Washed, Pulped Natural, and Natural — to fully express the aromatic potential of each lot.

A founding member of the BSCA in the early 1990s and long committed to protecting forests and water resources, Monte Alegre represents a model of responsible and sustainable agriculture.

With Brazil Sul De Minas, Caffè River strengthens the Closest Connection project: a selection journey that highlights origin, quality, and direct relationships with producers, bringing into the cup the authenticity of one of the world’s most renowned coffee-growing regions.
